Collection: Artificial tulips
Tulips, who doesn't love them! One of the typical Dutch symbols, but did you know that the tulip is not even originally Dutch? In 1562, a shipment of tulip bulbs arrived in Antwerp from Turkey. It was not until mid-1593 that the first documented planting of a tulip in the Netherlands was done, namely in the Botanical Garden of Leiden by Carolus Clusius. Thank goodness! Because thanks to this beautiful plant, we can enjoy beautiful, vast tulip fields in the spring and now also in an art form!
